Anna Cedro began her academic journey at Maria Curie-Skłodowska High School in Szczecin, where she followed a mathematics and physics profile from 1989 to 1993. She earned her Master’s degree in Marine Geography in 1998 from the University of Szczecin’s Faculty of Natural Sciences, with a thesis focused on aeolian coversands and fossil soils in the geological structure of the Wolin Island cliffs. Concurrently, from 1996 to 1998, she pursued an individual paleopedology course through collaborative work with institutions including Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń and the Institute of Zoology at the Polish Academy of Sciences. In June 2012, she received her habilitation in Earth Sciences with a specialization in dendrochronology of yew in Poland and western Ukraine.
