Prof. Dalila earned her D.E.S. in Biology—Animal Physiology from the University of Constantine in 1982, followed by a D.E.A. in Biochemistry and Human Nutrition in 1983 at the INSERM 308 Unit, Faculty of Medicine, Nancy, France. In 1987, she obtained a Doctorat d’Etat in Food Sciences and Nutrition from the Henri Poincaré University, Nancy 1, with the highest honors and jury commendation. Her thesis, under the mentorship of Prof. J.P. Nicolas, focused on the purification and gastric secretion of intrinsic factor in cystic fibrosis, contributing to CFTR gene research.

Prof. Dalila began her academic career in 1987 as a Maître Assistante and rapidly advanced through ranks, becoming Maître de Conférences in 1997, Professor in 2002, and Director of Research in 2003.
